Award Deadline Extended for Part-Time Students
It has been brought to our attention that the criteria sections of the application forms for some GSA Awards and Bursaries had not been updated to reflect the inclusion of part-time students. The form itself asks for you to identify yourself as either full or part time, and the information on our website is correct and all-inclusive, but due to the discrepancy we are extending the application deadline for part-time students to next Thursday, February 4.Descriptions of the awards and application forms are available on the GSA website. Part-time students are eligible for the Ray Owens Award, International Student Award, Professional Development Award, Externship Award, and Conference Funding, as well as the emergency funds and social and academic event funding, which do not have specific deadlines.
The Ontario Student Award is the only GSA award that part-time students cannot apply for - this is due to government matching funds and regulations beyond our control. The Ontario Student Award is endowed and so no student fees are used for this award.
