Partnerships

The GSA works closely with a variety of campus and community partners to support your graduate student experience.

Campus Partners

Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies

The GSA works closely with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (FGPS). We flag concerns from graduate students who connect with us, and work with FGPS to come up with positive solutions. We partner with FGPS and other campus departments on the ASPIRE program. Our student leaders sit at the Graduate Faculty Council table with Laurier’s graduate coordinators to discuss the graduate community.

Students’ Union

The GSA works closely with the Students’ Union to represent all Laurier students. Our student leaders meet to identify areas of mutual concern. Our teams work together to improve the student experience. We hold the University accountable and ensure that the needs of students are met. We meet regularly as members of the Non-Tuition Fee Protocol Committee and the Student Affairs Advisory Committee.

Office of Student Affairs

Together with the Students’ Union we make decisions that affect the departments that report to the VP: Student Affairs.

Non-tuition fees that support Student Affairs at Laurier help support the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Awards, the Wellness and Career Centres, Athletics & Recreation, International Student Advisors, the Centre for Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and more.

LSPIRG

Laurier Students' Public Interest Research Group (LSPIRG) is a registered non-profit organization that helps to develop advocacy tools and avenues for action. We partner with LSPIRG on campus campaigns and our Social Justice & Equity initiatives.

Wellness Education

The Student Wellness Centre promotes proactive wellness strategies and resources.
